State of the Nation Address. Pres. Rodrigo R. Duterte..videos.. President Duterte took an hour and 40 minutes to deliver his first SONA. This is about the same length as his predecessor's 2013 SONA. In terms of word length, Gov.PH says the shortest SONA according to word count was the one delivered by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2005, which had 1,551 words. The longest SONA according to word count was the one delivered by President Ferdinand E. Marcos in 1969 with 29,335 words.

President Rodrigo Duterte’s first State of the Nation Address (Sona) on Monday was “generally peaceful” and the “supportive” rallyists played a huge part, the military said.
“There was not serious threat monitored and the cooperation of ‘supportive’ rallyists was a big factor in the successful outcome of the Sona security coverage,” Armed Forces spokesperson Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla said.
This year’s Sona was different from previous years as this was the first time that militants were allowed to get closer to Batasang Pambansa.
“If every occasion for SONA can be done this way where cooperation and dialogue becomes the norm, then violent confrontations and dispersals will become a thing of the past,” Padilla said. RAM

Remove virus from Android phone (Pop-up Ads and Adware)
The number of Android apps infected with malware in Google’s Play store nearly quadrupled between 2012 and 2014. Make no mistake about it, there is such a thing as Android malware, cyber criminals create malware-spreading apps in devious attempts to steal personal details and advertisers use it as a marketing channel by bundling pushy ads with apps. In the first case, the users’ mobile security is clearly compromised. In the second one, the ad-app bundle is seldom mentioned, so users who download it unknowingly face a mobile privacy threat.
Can my Android phone get a “virus”?
So what about malware? Should we be worried? The key thing to remember about malware on Android is that you have to actually install the malicious app. Malware writers will use increasingly clever techniques to try and trick you into doing just that. As malware writers try to earn money for their bad deeds, they continually look for new ways to get their malicious software installed on your devices. The best recommendation is still to think twice before installing untrusted software or clicking on strange-looking links.
Apps designed to personalize people’s Android-based phones are most susceptible to be compromised, as well as entertainment and gaming apps. Some of the most malicious apps in the Google Play store downloaded since 2012 were Wallpaper Dragon Ball, a wallpaper app, and the games Finger Hockey and Subway Surfers Free Tips. Both Wallpaper Dragon Ball and Finger Hockey, have malware that steals confidential information such as device IDs from infected devices. Subway Surfers Free Tips, meanwhile, uses a Trojan called Air Push to bypass a device’s security settings and subscribe infected phones to premium services
When downloading apps it’s imperative that you only do so from a legitimate app store; that means from companies like Google Playstore, Amazon, Samsung, or another major manufacturer or carrier. These marketplaces are monitored and scanned for potentially dangerous or fraudulent programs. On occasion, however, malicious apps sometimes slip through the cracks, often disguised as legitimate ones. A fake BBM app recently appeared in the Google Play store and managed to secure more than 100,000 downloads before being removed. The app itself was nothing more than a spamming service.
Pirated or cracked apps are another way that cybercriminals use to infected Android phone with malware. They get legitimate Android application package (APK) file and binding it with a malicious program is a relatively simple process to infect the Android phones. Most pirated or cracked apps usually contain some form of malware so we advise you not to install such apps.
What can an Android “virus” do?
The vast majority of malware on Android is focused on stealing your information, which is obviously a major concern. Perhaps the worst case scenario at the moment is malware that sends SMS messages to premium rate numbers.
Unfortunately, as we mentioned before, malware writers are employing ever more sophisticated techniques to fool you. There are apps that clone legitimate apps to fool you into downloading them and apps that are malware free when you first install them, but download malware through the update system.
As a way to make revenue, advertising companies are getting more and more aggressive by including functionality in their apps to display ads in the notification bar, adding bookmarks, or creating search engine shortcuts to the home screen. These advertising apps can also send off personal data pertaining to your device or account and will often require more permissions to access functionality of your device than the free app you downloaded requires.
The most common Android malicious apps will do at least one of the following:
Collect and send GPS coordinates, contact lists, e-mail addresses etc. to third parties
Send SMSs to premium-rate numbers
Subscribe infected phones to premium services
Record phone conversations and send them to attackers
Take control over the infected phone
Download other malware onto infected phones
“Push notifications ads” delivering alerts to a phone’s notification bar – when the user swipes to pull down the notification bar from the top of the screen, an ad shows up under Notifications.
“Icon ads” inserted onto a phone’s start screen – when the user touches the icon, it usually launches a search engine or a web service.
How to remove viruses from Android phone (Removal Guide)
This page is a comprehensive guide, which will remove any malicious app from your Android phone. Please perform all the steps in the correct order. If you have any questions or doubt at any point, STOP and ask for our assistance.
If your Android smart phone is locked, and you are seeing an “ATTENTION! Your phone has been blocked up for safety reasons” notification from a law enforcement agency (FBI, Australian Federal Police, Metropolitan Police, U.S. Department of Justice) asking you to pay a fine via GreenDot MoneyPak, Ukash or Paysafecard code, then you will need to follow ourRemove Police or FBI virus from Android phone (Removal Guide).
STEP 1: Uninstall the malicious app from your Android phone
Android phone will get infected with viruses from a malicious app that is installed on the smartphones. In this first step, we will try to identify and uninstall any malicious app that might be installed on your Android phone.

Reboot your Android phone
STEP 2: Scan and protect your Android phone from viruses with Avast Free Mobile Security
As you have seen cyber criminals have started targeting Android users for malware, and we do expect that in the months to come the number of infections will grow. In this final step, we will scan your Android phone for malware with Avast Free Mobile Security, and provide a real-time protection from future malware attacks.
You can download Avast Free Mobile Security from the below link: AVAST FREE MOBILE SECURITY DOWNLOAD LINK(This link will open a new web page from where you can download Avast Free Mobile Security)
Click on the “Install” button, and when the app permissions will be displayed click on “Accept” install Avast Free Mobile Security on your Android phone.
Avast Free Mobile Security will be installed on your phone, this will only take a few seconds.
Avast Free Mobile Security will automatically update its virus definition database, and then will start to scan your Android phone for malware and malicious apps.
The scan may take a few minutes depending on how many apps you have installed, and if any malicious app are detected, Avast Free Mobile Security will automatically remove them from your Android phone.
Your Android phone should now be free of viruses, and most importantly Avast Free Mobile Security will protect your Android phone from future infections.
Below you can read a few quick tips to help you keep your Android smartphone free of malware.
Always research the publisher of the app. What other apps does it offer? Do any of them look a bit shady? If so, you should probably stay away.
Read online reviews. Android Market reviews may not always be truthful. Check around to see what reputable Websites are saying about the app before you hit the download button.
Always check app permissions. Whenever you download or update an app, you get a list of permissions for it. An alarm clock app, for instance, probably shouldn’t need to look through your contacts. The general rule of thumb: If an app is asking for more than what it needs to do its job, you should skip it.
Avoid directly installing Android Package files(APKs). When Angry Birds first came to Android, you could get it only through a third-party. This is called “sideloading,” or installing apps using an .APK file. Although Angry Birds wasn’t malware, in general it is highly advisable not to download and install .APK files that you randomly come across. Most of the time you won’t know what the file contains until you install it–and by then it’s too late.
Install an antivirus on your phone (we have installed Avast Free Mobile Security). Although many people still think that antivirus scanners on phones are useless, maybe outbreaks such as this one will change minds.
How to Solve "Unfortunately [App] Has Stopped" Error Message on Android Phones
It's very annoying when you play a game on your android smartphone or
even take a picture using its camera and an error message suddenly pops
up.
The most common error is the one shown on the right, "Unfortunately
Subway Surf has stopped". You get two options, report it or OK which
will stop the app totally.
Android error message "Unfortunately App Has Stopped".
Sometimes, this error is a sign that there is something
wrong your phone's hardware. We can't fix this and you'll have to bring
your Android phone to its service center.
However, most of the times it's just a software problem and some simple
steps can solve it without the need to visit the service center.
Ways to Solve App Crash in Android Phone
1. Do a simple reboot. Sometimes, all your phone needs to get
working right again is a simple reboot. Check if that resolves the
issue. If not, turn off your phone, remove the battery and wait for a
few minutes before turning it on again.
2. Re-install the App. The application might have the problem
that causes it to crash. Try uninstalling it by holding its icon until
the Uninstall option appears and then install it again.
3. Try Other Apps. If your camera app constantly gives this error, try another app to take your pictures. For example, you can use Camera 360
instead of the default camera app in your android phone. You'll not
only solve the issue, you will also get additional features like picture
effects and camera modes.
4. Uninstall Newly Installed Apps. You might have installed an
app that somehow interfered with the operation of your other apps. Try
to uninstall the apps from the newest and see if the problem is
resolved.
5. Do a Hard Reset. If none of the above suggestions work, backup
your data in your phone - pictures, music, videos, messages and
contacts then reset it. Doing a hard reset or factory reset is erasing
all that you've done to your phone after you bought it. After this, your
phone will be good as new, at least from the software perspective. Try
the app now and see if it doesn't crash anymore.
Hardware Error
If all of the above doesn't work, your android phone might have a
hardware issue. You can't fix it with your own hands. You shouldn't try
to fix your smartphone's hardware if you are not a technician, it's just
too complicated.
it's now time to bring your faulty android phone to the service center.
You'll have to wait for the technician to fix it for you. This can be
done in a few minutes or in a few days.
Already available in China, the Galaxy A5 is Samsung’s latest smartphone that is starting to be released around the world. But as they A5 starts to hit the shops near you, who is it aimed at?Here’s our Samsung Galaxy A5 review…
Packing less hardware punch than the Galaxy S5 or Galaxy Note 4, the A5 is pitched as a mid-range alternative to its Samsung cousins and the pricing should reflect this when it is released more widely. However just because it doesn’t have as much processing power or storage capacity as the S5 or Note 4, the A5 still has some great new features that shouldn’t be ignored. With its sleek design, selfie-focussed camera developments and customisable user interface, the A5 is designed to appeal to a younger, trend-conscious, selfie-taking user. And here’s how…
Stylish design
Keeping up with the latest trend for glitzy, stylish-looking handsets, the A5 is Samsung’s first all-metal design (alongside the A3 which is being released simultaneously). However the metal casing, coupled with a 5 inch screen, doesn’t mean a clunkier phone; at just 6.7mm thick this is Samsung’s most slimline smartphone and weighs in at just 123g. As with other Samsung phones, the A5 comes in 6 different colours – gold and silver metallics, black, white, pink and light blue – although not all colours will be available in all countries.
A break from previous designs also sees Samsung introduce their first unibody smartphone, meaning that just like the iPhone, the back cover can’t be removed. These developments result in a slick and stylish design that fashion-conscious users will be eager to get out at every opportunity.
Selfie Sensation
One of the big reasons for showing off the A5 is the selfie-centred camera developments as this is really what it does best. For starters, the 5MP front facing camera means that everyday selfies are significantly sharper than most top-end smartphones. For those situations where a 5MP selfie just isn’t good enough, you can also use the 13MP rear-camera’s selfie mode where the phone will beep at you when your face is in focus. To capture that perfect panoramic selfie, the A5 allows you to shoot wide-angled selfies of up to 120 degrees in landscape or 100 degrees in portrait.
To kickstart your selfies, you can still use voice prompts to tell your device when to take the snap as with previous Samsung phones. However with the A5 you can also trigger a 3-second countdown by holding your hand in front of the camera.
Express yourself
In keeping with the A5’s youth-orientated vibe, users can express themselves by using Samsung’s newly introduced flexible themes. This allows you to customise your user interface by applying one of (initially) four new themes – natural, craft, classic or sweet (in addition to basic) – although it is likely that new themes will be added in time. Themes are applied to Samsung’s standard TouchWizz interface – which sits on top of an Android 4.4 operating system – and provide a different look and feel by changing your wallpaper, system icons and ring tones.
Another new feature to help users express themselves during calls is Wise Voice. This technology helps to keep volume levels constant for the person at the other end, even if you’re holding your phone away from your face. Users trying to make a call from a party or a noisy sports match will also benefit from the A5’s adjustable audio feature which automatically detects background noise and increases the in-call volume accordingly.
Samsung Galaxy A5 Review
The A5 may not have a top of the range spec but the stylish metal design, flexible themes and brand new selfie features will appeal to the young and trendy who are looking for something a little more affordable than the Note 4 or S5.
As the A5 isn’t yet available in most countries, the true test will come down to user experience and feedback when it is released more widely. So look out for the Samsung Galaxy A5 hitting the shops near you and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
We’ve been contacted by literally hundreds of you asking us about SIM unlocking, so here it is – a Samsung Geeks tutorial giving you the lowdown on how to SIM unlock a Samsung Galaxy S4, S3, Note 3 and various other Galaxy phones for FREE.
Why is my Samsung Galaxy Phone SIM Locked?
One of the biggest frustrations for Samsung users is finding that their Galaxy phone is SIM locked to a particular network. This is great for the individual networks because it allows them to provide subsidised phones for their customers. Unfortunately it tends to be bad news for the customer because there are no guarantees that a new SIM card from a new network will work with your phone.
In fact, there’s every chance that it won’t work.
In this article we’ll be exploring various options available to you. We know that this is a real issue among Samsung users and so we wanted to provide you with the best resources to work out how to unlock the Samsung Galaxy phone that you have. Whilst some of you are interested in finding out how to SIM unlock a Samsung Galaxy S5 or Note 4, unlocking tends to be more of an issue for those of us with slightly older models – usually because you’ve come to the end of a fixed contract or because you want to give your phone to a friend or family member.
DISCLAIMER: Samsung Geeks cannot be held liable for any losses resulting from following these methods. We’ve included various methods – including contacting the relevant network directly – but it is important to state that there are no guarantees that a particular method will work for your phone. Option 1: Ask Your Network to SIM Unlock Your Samsung Galaxy Phone
This is probably the easiest way to get your Samsung Galaxy phone unlocked, particularly if you’re not particularly tech-savvy and are concerned about making mistakes. Some carriers will charge a fee for this process – but if you’re a long-time customer and you ask really, really nicely they might just unlock the phone for free.
We know that some of you have had more difficulty with some networks than others. As a preliminary step we’d encourage you to speak to your network’s customer services department. It won’t hurt to ask them if they SIM unlock your Samsung Galaxy phone for free – and it will ensure that any warranties/guarantees remain unaffected.
This is a particularly safe option if you’re trying to SIM unlock a Samsung Galaxy S4 or Note 4. The fact that these are higher value phones means that you’re probably more inclined to pay the unlocking fee. It’s not a free option, but it’s still the most reliable way to SIM unlock your Samsung Galaxy phone.

A great option for those of you wanting a cheap way to unlock your Samsung Galaxy phone is to download and install an app from the Google Play store.
GalaxSim Unlock is probably the most popular unlocking app for Samsung phones, with more than 1,000,000 downloads and an average user rating of 4.3/5. It’s just £2.59, which is pretty inexpensive compared with the potential cost of paying a network or unlocking service provider.
